FIELD: modern physics of super-intensive magnetic fields and the like. SUBSTANCE: method used where high energy concentration is required and material properties are to be investigated under extreme conditions involves building up of initial magnetic flux, its capture by conducting shell, sequential compression of magnetic flux with high-voltage charge energy by imparting shock-wave forces to coaxial shells. Prior to compression shells are set in opposing rotary motion. EFFECT: enhanced final density of magnetic energy and increased reproducibility of this value from experiment to experiment. 1 dwg
