METHOD OF PRODUCING RECTIFIED ALCOHOL Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: alcohol industry. SUBSTANCE: method provides for boiling of alcohol out of mash in beer column with transition of ethyl alcohol and accompanying impurities into mash distillate with valor of said column, purification of mash distillate from head and intermediate impurities including components of fusel oil in fractionating column with supply of hot water to its upper tray. Then intermediate product is rectified in alcohol column with withdrawal of fractions of fusel oil, fusel alcohol and nonpasteurized alcohol; head and intermediate fractions of ethyl alcohol are distilled with withdrawal of concentrate of head fraction, fusel oil, concentrate of propyl alcohols and return of ethyl alcohol fraction into mash. Separated from condensers of beer and fractionating column, carbon dioxide separator and alcohol trap of dirty distillates are fractions containing mixture of head and intermediate impurities and directed together with fusel alcohol to feed tray of the first distillation column. Withdrawn from condenser of the first distillation column is fraction of head impurities and it is combined with fractions from condensers of alcohol and methanol column and alcohol trap of pure distillates and supplied to upper feed tray of the second distillation column. Intermediate impurities containing still liquor of the first distillation column, fraction of fusel oil from alcohol column and washing waters of fusel oil are directed to lower feed tray of the second distillation column from which condenser concentrate of head column is withdrawn. Fusel oil is withdrawn from vapor phase of fifth-eleventh trays of its lower part. Concentrate of propyl alcohols is withdrawn from eighteenth-twentieth trays. Ethyl alcohol fraction is withdrawn from middle zone and returned to mash. EFFECT: higher quality of rectified alcohol. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
