FIELD: railway transport; permanent ways. SUBSTANCE: to correct position of rail track 2 consisting of sections 3 and 4 arranged close to each other and connected by adapter rail section 5, points of limited levels common for both sections are measured by means of absolute base system 17 and real position curves are obtained by means of base system f vehicles 7 by connecting points of limited levels by segments, thus getting common preset position curve. Parameters for correction of rail track position are determined by difference between real and preset position curves, and correction is carried out according to obtained parameters by synchronously lifting or sidewise shifting of both track sections. EFFECT: improved track position correction process. 4 dwg
