RAIL TRACK POSITION ADJUSTMENT METHOD Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; permanent way; track maintenance. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of measuring and adjusting position of rail track. Proposed method comes to the following: independent measuring of left-hand and right-hand sections of rail track is carried out to reveal and record their actual level. Then electronic smoothing out of errors beyond the limits of tolerances is carried out. Borders of track section of which position adjustment and raising of rail track to preset level are set. Rails are raised to level of track section on which no adjustment has been carried out. Rail track position adjustment is done by independently raising both rails to preset level and tamping the ties. EFFECT: elimination of large errors on short sections of rail track. 5 cl, 6 dwg
