FIELD: forestry engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has box casing attached to a vehicle. The casing has aperture in the front wall and hood pivotally connected to the casing, on the back wall. Sprayer is mounted on the casing roof for supplying fire-extinguishing liquid into the internal space in the casing. Packing roll fit to the cranked axle is mounted in the posterior part of the casing. Both the roller and the axle are divided in longitudinal vertical plane into two parts. Ends of both parts facing each other have crankshafts pivotally bound with a pin. Fire edge extinction is carried out due to fire- extinguishing liquid acting. Remaining glowing coal pieces are pressed into the ground by the packing roll. When running into an obstacle with one or other part of the roll, the roll rolls over the obstacle causing no casing separation from the soil. The other part of the roll goes on packing the soil. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in extinguishing forest fire. 2 dwg
