FIELD: forestry engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves strip-wise burning out dry herbage on meadows to protect forest in the cases meadow fire occurs. Stripped burning-out is carried out in spring time after the snow coating has melted but before soil layer dries. Forest fire-extinguishing aggregate travels over meadow along the forest margin with burning burner. Its wheels press dry herbage into the soil and mix them on lateral edges of the strip. The burner sets fire in the grass within the boundaries of the track formed. The traces left by the aggregate in humid soil are fire protection barriers preventing fire from coming to adjacent area. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in preventing forest fire.
