FIELD: biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: described are new compounds of formula C(I): wherein group Z is spacer selected from saturated or unsaturated chain, length of which is equal or from about 0 to 6 carbon atoms, unbranched saturated or unsaturated chain, length of which is equal to 6-18 carbon atoms with at least one intermediate amide or disulfide fragment and polyethylene glycol chain, length of which is equal to 3-12 carbon atoms; R₁ is electrophillic or nucleophilic fragment suitable for reacting derivative with biologically active components and selected from group consisting of such fragments as acryloamide, amino group, bromine, dithiopyridyl, bromoacetamide hydrazide, N-hydroxysuccinimide ether residue, imidate ether residue, imidazolyl, iodine, iodoacetamide, maleimide and thiol; R₂ is one or such groups as alkyl and methylene group carrying electronegative dipole moment. Compounds of formula I are useful for modifying biologically active components with view of including complexing fragment for phenylboronic acid and subsequently conjugating with different biologically active components with suspended fragments of phenylboronic acid.
