FIELD: hydraulic structures; mooring embankments in arctic regions. SUBSTANCE: embankment has anchoring device joined to retaining wall; thermal piles and reinforced concrete slabs deepened into ground base penetrate into mentioned retaining wall; reinforced concrete slabs cover distance between piles and are installed one on top of other with and abut against thermal piles from side of ground fill. Body of each thermal pile is made of external and internal metal tubes with space between them filled with concrete mix. Length of internal tube exceeds that of external one and its ends form surface and underground cantilevers. Concrete mix has metal chips on surface and underground parts of thermal pile and claydite in part where pile comes in contact with water. EFFECT: improved bearing capacity and reliability of mooring embankment. 5 cl, 4 dwg
