SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing racemic or optically active methyl (2-halogenophenyl) (6,7-dihydro-4H- thieno (3,2-c) pyridin-5-yl)acetates of formula VI: or salts thereof by conversion of racemic or optically active compound of formula VII: into compound followed by cyclization of the latter. Said compounds are useful for treatment purposes due to the fact that they inhibit aggregation of thrombocytes.
