FIELD: applying protective coats on external surfaces of tubes. SUBSTANCE: method used for applying foaming heat-insulating materials on surfaces of single tubes using tube-in-tube technology involves delivery of tube by linear displacement in mold; tube installation in mold with its ends outside; injection of foaming compound in confined space of mold, and holding tube until coat hardens. Tube is inserted in mold at distance not less than length of its projection on one side; compound is fed to insulating part of tube while displacing the latter until compound starts foaming. EFFECT: reduced input of coat material; improved foaming conditions and quality of coat. 2 dwg
