FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: child's blood serum is analysed for the concentration of cytokines: interleukin-1β (IL-1β), pg/ml and interleukin-1β receptor antagonist (IL-1β RA), pg/ml. If fulfilling the condition (IL-1β)≥20 pg/ml and (IL-1β RA)≤1197 pg/ml, a moderate severity of Epstein-Barr virus induced acute infectious mononucleosis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: technique enables high reliability diagnosis of the severity forms of Epstein-Barr virus induced acute infectious mononucleosis.
