SUBSTANCE: method involves positioning earthed wire above corona wires made in the form of current-conductive grids; supplying electric potential to wire, with value of potential being equal to local Earth potential. During generation of electrically charged particles, wind direction is determined and earthed grid is moved in vertical plane to height corresponding to maximum potential difference between atmospheric layer and Earth surface.
