FIELD: metal continuous casting equipment. SUBSTANCE: drum includes sleeve and casing arranged coaxially and two flanges for supporting and centering casing on sleeve. Casing includes opening. Each flange has portion in the form of truncated cone engaging with respective surface in the form of truncated cone in opening of casing. Above mentioned surface is arranged in zone free from changes of inner diameter of casing due to thermal expansion deformation. According to invention casing and sleeve are mutually concentric in cold and hot states in spite of inevitable deformation caused by thermal expansion. EFFECT: improved design of drum providing possibility for making high quality metallic strip with strict uniformity of thickness and lengthwise profile. 11 cl, 3 dwg
