SUBSTANCE: invention relates to derivatives of 1-arylsulfonyl-, arylcarbonyl or arylthiocarbonylpyridazine of the general formula (I) where L is taken among the group consisting of CO, CS and SO₂; R₁ and R₂ are taken independently among the group including hydrogen, halogen atom, alkyl-(C₁-C₆), haloid-alkyl-(C₁-C₆) under condition that when L means SO₂ then R₁ and R₂ do not mean hydrogen atom simultaneously; R₃ means independently from 1 to 3 groups including hydrogen, halogen atom, alkyl-(C₁-C₆), haloidalkyl-(C₁-C₆); X is taken among (CH₂)_n or Y(CH₂)_n-1 where Y means O or S and n means a whole number from 1 to 3. New derivatives are nonsteroid heterocyclic compounds that act as selective progestins and/or antiprogestins eliciting high affinity in vitro for uterine, mamma or bones progestin receptors. As such, nonsteroid heterocyclic derivatives can be used for contraception, in menopause, osteoporosis or endometritis.
