FIELD: materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: feeding device designed for handling long articles of cable or hose type is made in form of two conveyors pointed to each other by their face surfaces, row of supports and deflecting rollers. Conveyor belts are supported by holders, each including cylindrical roller thrusting against support secured on conveyor belt. Longitudinal axis of roller is parallel to direction of movement of conveyor belt. Rollers are arranged in pairs at both sides from longitudinal central axis of conveyor belt. Feeding device features high coefficient of friction in direction of feeding, but low coefficient of friction in transverse direction which precludes twisting in longitudinal direction and preserves quality of article. Cable feeder for mounting cable in stator uses feeding device of this type. EFFECT: prevention of article twisting. 9 cl, 3 dwg
