VALVE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: stop and control valves mounted into pipe-lines transporting liquid and gaseous mediums. SUBSTANCE: valve contains housing provided with through opening. The housing receives two parallel to each other disks provided with projections, telescopic spindle with wedged head, and stops for disks. The wedged head is a part of the spindle. The wedge of the head has obtuse angle, preferably, 100 deg. The working surface of projections is inclined, preferably, at 45 deg to seat. The stops for disks are placed along the line which passes through axis of the through openings provided in the housing. The line is perpendicular to the spindle axis and contains points of contact between disks and stops and also center of disks when they are in locked position. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and service life of the valve. 2 cl, 8 dwg
