FIELD: thermoelectric devices. SUBSTANCE: thermoelectric module has p and n thermoelectric cells alternately arranged and electrically interconnected by means of electrodes provided on upper and lower sides of each cell; heat-exchanger plate is fixed to electrodes on each side. Each thermoelectric cell is covered with insulating coating film of polyamide or substituted or non-substitute polyxylene on all sides except for those connected to electrodes. Thermoelectric cells are arranged in a spaced relation. Coating film increases strength and moisture resistance of thermoelectric cells, prevents cracks and fractures in cells even when they are subjected to impacts, take heavy loads or temperature stresses, and also protects them against corrosion in humid atmospheres.
