FIELD: manufacture of artificial glass fiber for industrial purposes. SUBSTANCE: artificial glass fibers having solubility at pH of 4.5, at least 20 nm daily, temperature along line of liquid of lower than 1300 C, viscosity at temperature along line of liquid of 300 P are manufactured from composition which comprises, wt %: SiO2, 36-55; Al2O3, 15-30; CaO, 3-30; MgO, 5-20, FeO, 4-15; Na2O+K2O, 1-15; TiO2, 0-6; other elements, 0-15 at Si4+ to Si4++Al3+ ratio less or equal to 0.67. Fibers are prepared in spinning bowl with holes or on cascade of spinning wheels. Package of said glass fibrous product contains indications on solubility at pH of 4 or 5 and/or in medium created by macrophages in lung liquid, and also solubility in vivo. EFFECT: fibers from inexpensive stock, resistant to weather conditions but having properties of biosolubility at pH of 4.5. 11 cl, 1 tbl
