SUBSTANCE: invention provides novel carbapenem derivatives having general formula I: (I) wherein R¹ and R², identical or different, denote each modified group, which can be hydrolyzed inside body, selected from 1-alkanoyloxyalkyl, 1-alkoxycarbonyloxyalkyl, 5- methyl-1,3-dioxolen-2-on-4-ylmethyl; R³ and R⁴, identical or different, denote each lower alkyl or, together with adjacent nitrogen atom, form cyclic amine structure; or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Antibacterial agent contains carbapenem derivative of formula I and pharmaceutically acceptable excipient or diluent.
