FIELD: organic chemistry, peptides. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compounds of the formula (I) including their salts where R1, R2, R3, R4, u R5 mean independently each of other a substituent taken among hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, alkoxy-group with 1-3 carbon atoms, alkyl group with 1-3 carbon atoms and hydroxyalkyloxy-group with 2 or 3 carbon atoms; or R1 and R2, or R2 and R3 in common form methylenedioxy-group where R4, R5 and R1 or R3 no forming methylenedioxy-group are their moiety and mean independently each of other any substituents designated for R1, R2, R3, R4, u R5, respectively, as indicated above; R6 means hydrogen atom or hydroxyl group and R7 means a substituent taken among methyl group, ethyl group, isopropyl group, n-propyl group and tert.-butyl group under condition that derivatives where substituents from R1 to R5 are hydrogen atoms and derivatives where R2 or R4 is methoxy- group and R3 is hydroxyl group are excluded. Compounds show strong sweetening effect and useful for use as sweetening substances. Invention proposes also a sweetening substance containing the indicated compound.
