FIELD: metallurgy, namely coating steel strips with non-ferrous metals. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of trimming surface of steel strip, rolling strip at temperature 373-473 K at reduction degree (30- 50)%, feeding to deformation zone between rolling roll and steel strip dry aluminum powder. Such process allows to receive coating of high ductility no less than that of base metal and with thickness up to 250 micrometers. EFFECT: enhanced quality of aluminum coating of steel strip. 1 tbl
