FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: mix of boron carbine, aluminium powder and pelletised aluminium powder is placed in steel shell. Composition preventing bonding of said shell of powder mix is applied on shell inner surface. Powder mix is compacted, closed by shell, heated and rolled. Power mix rolling is said shell is conducted at 590-610°C with powder mix reduction of at least 60% and that of shell not over 20%. Compacted blank is removed from said shell after rolling. It is cut to parts to make sandwiched stack for hot rolling. Parts of said sandwiched compacted blank are arranged between sheets of aluminium alloys and layers or pure aluminium. Stack hot rolling is conducted at 400-430°C and reduction of at least 50%.
EFFECT: efficient neutron protection.
