FIELD: methods of production of HETEROGENEOUS bimetallic palladium-gold catalyst for production of vinyl acetate from ethylene, acetic acid and oxygen. SUBSTANCE: method includes production of catalyst precursor by impregnation of porous catalyst carrier with solution of palladium compound and reduction of produced palladium with formation of the first crust dispersed coating of colloid metallic palladium on surface of catalyst carrier; impregnation of catalyst precursor with metal-organic compound of gold in organic solvent and reduction of produced gold compound up to formation of the second crust dispersed coating of colloid metallic gold on surface of catalyst carrier with obtaining of bimetallic palladium-gold catalyst.
