FIELD: metal continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: method of strip continuous casting from stainless austenitic steel directly from liquid metal includes supply of liquid metal of the content, wt.%: C ≤ 0.08; Si ≤ 1; Mn ≤ 2; P ≤ 0.045; S ≤ 0.030; Cr, 17.0-20.0; Ni, 8.0-10.5; to casting machine onto one or between two moving walls whose outer surface has pits and supply of protective gas to zone surrounding meniscus to produce inert atmosphere in it. Protective gas of preset content consists at least partially of gas dissolved in steel. Then strip is subsequently cooled. Liquid metal has ratio of Cr equ./Ni equ. not more 1.55. In this case, Cr equ.= %Cr + 1.37 x %Mo + 1.5 x %Si + 2 x %Nb + 3 x %Ti and Ni equ.= %Ni + 0.31 x %Mn +22 x %C + 14.2 x %N + %Cu. Entire outer surface of moving wall or two moving walls consists of pits with diameter from 100 to 1500 mcm and depth from 20 to 150 mcm adjacent to one another. Movable cooled walls may be in the form of outer surfaces of two cooling rolls with horizontal axes rotating in opposite direction. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 8 cl, 5 tbl
