FIELD: materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gravity discharge bucket belt elevators designed for transportation of heavy-weight large lump abrasive loads. Proposed bucket elevator has traction member is form of rubberized belt with acute angle buckets secured on belt and provided with side guides on front wall. Part of rear wall of each bucket in zone of its contact with following bucket in direction of movement is bent outside from belt at the same angle as front wall of bucket with overlapping of front wall of following bucket, being arranged with clearance relative to wall and to side guides of bucket. Flexible material gasket is placed in clearance over entire width of bucket. Gasket is fastened to outer edge of bent off part of rear wall. Proposed bucket elevator provides gravity discharge at minimum design height of elevator at preset height of load lifting. EFFECT: improved reliability in operation, reduced to minimum working areas required for mounting bucket elevators. 3 dwg
