FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves putting biological culturing medium containing tumor cell culture into transparent reservoir for carrying out photobiological studies. Photosensibilization agent is added. The cell culture is incubated with the photosensibilization agent and then washed out from the photosensibilized culturing medium. Clean culturing medium is added. Erythrocytes are additionally introduced into the culturing medium immediately before irradiation. The so created medium is irradiated. Medium absorption or scattering spectrum is read during irradiation procedure in optical bandwidth. Medium oxygenation degree and its variation rate are determined from the relation between oxy- and desoxyhemoglobin contributions into the spectrum and photodynamic photosensibilization agent activity is determined in this way with respect to ratio of medium oxygenation variation speed to irradiation power density.
