FIELD: resin industry and chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention aims at production of sodium salts of sulfoethyl esters of ligno-carbohydrate materials, which can be used as chemical additives for controlling properties of washing fluids when boring oil and gas holes, for stabilizing cement mortars in building industry, and as reagents in ore flotation. Method consists in that preliminarily activated cellulose-based material, in particular unseparated cellulose/lignin/hemicellulose mixture, is affected by sodium beta- chloroethylsulfonate in boiling isopropyl alcohol for 3 h, observing fluid modulus 1:20. EFFECT: utilized total amount of ligno-carbohydrate material, reduced cost of final product, and enabled wasteless technology. 1 tbl
