FIELD: electric arc welding, namely welding apparatuses with automatic control of process of pulse electric arc welding, possibly equipment and processes for electric welding operations. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes actuating device; comparator for comparing electric arc voltage with reference voltage; connected in series unit for setting pause duration, relay unit with two outputs and unit for setting pulse duration. One output of relay unit is connected directly with actuating device, another output is connected with actuating device through unit for setting pulse duration. Inlet of unit for setting pause duration is connected with outlet of comparator for comparing electric arc voltage with reference voltage during pause period. At inlet of said comparator pickup for detecting tearing-off of drop is mounted. Inlet of said pickup is connected with electric arc voltage, its outlet through amplifier is connected with unit for setting pulse duration. EFFECT: automatic stabilization of drop size due to metering energy for melting electrode metal, improved reliability, operational stability of apparatus, enhanced quality of welded seam. 3 dwg
