FIELD: welding, cutting, heat treatment, soldering, flashing of metals, plastic materials, ceramics in machine engineering, veterinary, at surgical operations and antibacterial treatment. SUBSTANCE: irradiation concentrator is placed in cooled housing and it has reflectory surface having first and second ellipsoids of revolution whose large axes are coincided. Center of reflecting truncated spherical surface is coincided with irradiating focus. Apparatus is provided with unit for igniting electric arc. Opening for vacuumizing and supplying working gases is provided in lid of housing and it is communicated with vacuum pump and with reservoir for working gas. Axis of unit for mounting light guide is inclined by angle (5-85)degrees relative to large axis of irradiation concentrator in such a way that crossing point of light guide axis and large axis of irradiation concentrator is coincided with working focus of apparatus. Unit for alignment of laser beam is arranged in mounting unit. Spring-loaded electrode of unit for igniting arc is arranged in hollow protrusion of lid and in opening of lid and of concentrator. End portion of electrode is placed directly near irradiation focus. Electromagnet for igniting arc is mounted on inner surface of button body of unit for igniting arc.
