EXPLOSION-TIGHT ENCLOSURE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2186450 C1

FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: explosion-tight enclosure that may be used to transform explosive electric drives controlling actuating mechanisms into their explosion-safe analogs has cylindrical case with bore and terminal box installed on its butt end. Novelty is that enclosure is provided with supports designed for mounting changeable platforms carrying electric drives of various types and with drive shaft for kinematic coupling with actuating member of electric drive. Drive shaft is mounted in mentioned bore radially oriented relative to longitudinal axis of case in explosion-safe relation to case walls . EFFECT: simplified design , enlarged functional capabilities. 3 cl, 3 dwg
