FIELD: machine engineering, possibly finishing and trimming parts in free state. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes drum in the form of helical multistart column made of helical strips; unit for charging and discharging parts; rotation drive mechanism. Strips are made in the form of different trapeziums with different width size increased along length of drum from charging to discharging side. Velocity values of working medium and parts moving inside drum are increased when through cross section of drum becomes larger. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of tumbling process. 4 dwg
