SUBSTANCE: method comes to the following: with piston moving near top dead center entire volume of combustion chamber is divided into small volumes, and ignition and combustion in small volumes occur independently till the end of active heat liberation while danger of appearance of detonation exists. Then small volumes of mixture are united and combustion takes place in entire volume. To organize such combustion, special projections with mated surfaces are made on cylinder cover and piston crown. These projections move relative to each other when piston moves near top dead center and divide combustion chamber into two or several spaces, each space being furnished with displacer, spark plug, intake and discharge valves.
