FIELD: electrical and instrumentation engineering; high-frequency drives for cutting tools. SUBSTANCE: motor that may be used in stomatology or engraving work where cutting-tool variable speed up to 60 000 rpm is required has plates uniformly secured along generating lines on outer surface of motor barrel between thin-walled cylindrical skirt and motor barrel and passed through slots provided on inner threaded projection of mentioned skirt. Manufacturing process includes manufacture of motor with barrel-shaper frame incorporating shaft with shaft extension, thin-walled cylindrical skirt, flange with through axial bore, outer cylindrical collar, and axial threaded projection. Inner threaded projection is provided on skirt end. Plates are secured along generating lines on outer surface of motor barrel, motor assembled with plates is mounted into skirt and then locked against turning relative to skirt by means of removable cover turned onto inner threaded projection of skirt. Novelty is that conical collar, threaded projection of flange, and plates are made with oversize diameter. Upon fastening the plates barrel is set in rotary motion relative to shaft axis to reduce plate diameter to that of circle inscribing them which is equal to rated inner bore of cylindrical skirt. Then motor simulator is placed inside skirt, locked against turning relative to skirt, the latter is set in rotary motion, oversized conical collar, flange, and its axial threaded projection are brought to their rated size, whereupon thread is tapped on axial projection of flange. Motor simulator is removed and motor proper is mounted in its place together with removable cover. As an alternative plates may be secured along generating lines of cylindrical skirt surface. One more alternative is to manufacture oversized plates on surface contacting the motor which are brought to diameter of inscribed circle equal to rated diameter of motor barrel after their attachment and setting skirt in rotary motion. EFFECT: enhanced service life, enlarged speed variation range, enhanced output power of motor. 8 cl, 12 dwg
