FIELD: electrical and instrumentation engineering; high-speed and high-precision electrical machine manufacture. SUBSTANCE: method involves torque transmission by means of dog lead from drive to electrical machine shaft provided with shaft extension to set machine frame in rotary motion for relieving machine frame from fitting allowance. Novelty is that before setting machine frame in motion relative to axis of shaft the latter together with its extension is locked in position relative to machine framer and torque is imparted from drive to electrical machine through shaft extension. Device proposed for the purpose has bushing with bore for passing shaft extension and with collet and threaded length on one end, clamping nut with radial projection for engaging revolving member of drive, and frictional disk with hub. Clamping nut with radial projection is disposed on threaded length of bushing, on its collet side; frictional disk with hub is loosely mounted on opposite end of bushing and has mechanism for its axial displacement. Device installation process includes fitting of mentioned bushing onto shaft extension until frictional disk is stopped by end surface of machine frame, its locking in position relative to shaft extension by turning-in clamping nut with radial projection followed by turning this nut to hold frictional disk down to end surface of machine frame; shaft with its shaft extension is placed in centers of drive at the same time driving radial projection of clamping nut in contact with revolving member of drive.
