FIELD: magnetic cleaning of process fluids (lubricants-and-coolants, washing solutions) from solid and colloidal particles; metalworking including plastic metalworking and cutting. SUBSTANCE: magnetic separator has reservoir for fluid to be treated, mounting frame on which vertical column with linear anti-friction bearing is secured; said bearing is provided with two carriages rigidly connected with upper and lower cross-pieces. Upper cross-piece fastened with vertical magnetic cartridges is provided with counter-weight located in vertical column. Lower cross-piece is provided with drive. Collars of sludge remover are made in form of washers embracing magnetic cartridges; they are fastened with lower cross-piece. Sludge transportation unit is made in form of drive conveyer.
