FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: chlorocyclohexane is synthesized by interaction of cyclohexanol with concentrated hydrochloric acid at 40-77 C in the presence of calcium chloride taken in the amount 10-30% of cyclohexanol mass under atmosphere or excessive pressure up to 0.7 ati. The volume ratio cyclohexanol : hydrochloric acid = (1:1.5)-(1:4) and hydrochloric acid is used with mass part of hydrogen chloride 33.0%, not less, or with mass part of hydrogen chloride 25-36% and process is carried out in the presence of gaseous hydrogen chloride taken in the amount 80-140% of theoretically required amount to provide the complete conversion of cyclohexanol, and/or in the presence of surface-active substances of ionogenic or nonionogenic type taken in the amount 0.04-0.4% of cyclohexanol mass. Substances showing properties of catalysis of interphase transfer are used as surface-active substances. Chlorocyclohexane is used as an intermediate compound for synthesis of agents for plants protection and pharmaceutical preparations. EFFECT: increased yield of end product, simultaneous utilization of waste from chlorination process. 6 cl, 1 tbl
