SUBSTANCE: the air heater has a heat-transfer agent path, air conduits with a cross direction of flow of heat-exchanging media and a heat exchange surface, the heat-transfer agent path is made in the form of an integral box formed in cross-section by flat walls, two of which, opposite positioned, have through slots symmetrically made relative to each other with a rounding-off around the edges, the cavities above the outer surfaces of the walls communicate with each other through these slots with the aid of the elements closed around the edges, forming the heat exchange surfaces made of sheet metal, installed with a tight fit with their extremities to these rounded-off slots, the end faces of the extremities of the closed elements are made around the edges of fit in the slots with edges closed outside, projecting above the outer surface of the walls.
