FIELD: dimensional electrochemical treatment of easy-to-passivate alloys, mainly titanium alloys. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting oscillation motion to one electrode and synchronously applying rectangular voltage pulses from power source with sharply dropping Volt-Ampere characteristics; using electrolyte with moderate activity degree; at treatment registering alternation of active and passive voltage pulses formed respectively at activation or passivation of surface in dependance upon value of interelectrode gap; regulating speed of electrode feed for sustaining predetermined alternation of active and passive pulses. Said alternation corresponds to voltage difference of active and passive pulses and it is registered by means of oscillograph for further using as control parameter. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and quality of treated surface of titanium alloys due to operation at small interelectrode gap values. 2 cl, 1 dwg
