FIELD: forming complex-profile surfaces of machine parts of hard-to-form materials, for example of titanium alloys.
SUBSTANCE: method is realized at using controlled pulses supplied by bursts at time moment of maximum mutual approaching of vibrating tool-electrode and blank-electrode. Method comprises steps of controlling tool-electrode feed rate according to change of contour of envelopes drawn with use of values of inter-electrode gap resistance for similar points of pulses of bursts, for example for leading and final points of each pulse; at first increasing feed rate of tool-electrode due to increasing difference of resistance values of envelopes of each pulse; then going on increase of feed rate of tool-electrode while decreasing difference of resistance values and setting such feed rate of tool-electrode when said difference for one or several pulses of bursts at maximum mutual approaching of electrodes becomes equal to preset absolute minimum value or zero. Further treatment is realized due to controlling feed rate of tool-electrode according to condition for keeping said difference.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy, quality and efficiency of treatment due to sustaining minimally possible gaps between electrodes. 7 cl, 2 dwg
