FIELD: routing short messages from service center to mobile station in ground shared mobile network. SUBSTANCE: method for routing high- and low-priority short messages from service center to mobile station in shared ground mobile network that offers services using data bursts and channel switching involves pre-selection of way of message reception by mobile station: by means of one of definite services or by any of these services. Basing on mentioned choice of priority of short message transmitted from service center and indication of availability of mobile station by means of one of services, both services, or neither of services route is selected with aid of one of services, both services, or no route is chosen at all. If route with aid of one of services is chosen, short message is conveyed according to chosen route. If route by means of two services is selected, route using higher-priority service out of the two is chosen and short message is conveyed according to route with aid of mentioned higher-priority service. In case of failure of short message transmission to mobile station over route using said higher-priority service, short message is conveyed according to route with aid of said service having lower priority.
