FIELD: long-distance networks. SUBSTANCE: according to standard phase 1 of global mobile communication system off-time is reduced in definite base-station controller servicing respective base station in response to layer 2 off- operation message coming from first mobile station, and upon termination of reduced off-time counting servicing base transceiver station relinquishes mentioned logic channel from first mobile station and enables connected base-station controller to efficiently allocate relinquished logic channel (АСКУ or КН) for second mobile station. After that additional layer 2 messages transmitted by first mobile station are ignored and message acknowledging off-operation mode is not transmitted through mentioned logic channel. In this way conflict situation in same channel between first and second mobile stations is avoided and second mobile station can render communications through allocated logic channel. EFFECT: enhanced economic efficiency and effectiveness of relinquishing unnecessary logic channels by base transceiving station. 28 cl, 6 dwg
