FIELD: mobile communication. SUBSTANCE: proposed system and method controlling stream of messages in system of mobile telephone communication GSM are intended for service of short messages. Service of short messages provides for transmission of short message to mobile stations and from mobile stations. System and method are meant to control servicing of transmission of messages to mobile stations, particularly under conditions, when several servicing enters send short messages to one and same mobile station. In this case several servicing centers send short message to one and same subscriber and first servicing center which has established dialogue with transmission of short message can carry it to completion. Under conditions when dialogue with transmission of short message is established with this servicing center any other servicing centers trying to transmit short message to mobile station will be registered and put into queue. After termination of dialogue with transmission of initial short message same radio communication channel will be maintained and each of short messages corresponding to addresses of servicing centers registered in queue will be sent according to order of their registration. In principle, proposed system and method provide for control over messages transmitted by service of short messages under conditions of occupancy which makes it feasible to use resources of network and its components more effectively.
