FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; exhaust systems. SUBSTANCE: housing of proposed catalyst converter has outer and inner walls, end face covers, inlet and outlet branch pipes and convective heat exchanger. Inner wall of converter is formed by series arranged catalytic elements, namely, coaxial porous cermet reduction-oxidation catalytic blocks. Convective heat exchanger made in form of coil is placed in space formed between coaxial porous cermet reduction-oxidation catalytic blocks and coaxial porous cermet soot, and porous cermet reduction catalytic blocks concentric relative to reduction-oxidation blocks. EFFECT: improved efficiency of catalytic cleaning of exhaust gases of internal combustion engine and increased service life of catalyst converter. 1 dwg
