FIELD: measurement technology, test of vibration of moving parts of rotor machines in power engineering, of turbo-pump aggregates in oil and gas industry and in some other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: winding of proposed eddy-current pickup comes in the form of regular polygon. The bigger is number of sides of polygon the nearer its area approaches to area of circle and the greater is inductance. Eddy-current pickup has several spiral windings displaced one relative another through angle at which sides of polygon spirals are not parallel one another. Spiral windings are placed on dielectric bases assembled in tablet. Such design of pickup ( increased number of side and displacement of adjacent windings one with reference to another ) improves factor-of-merit and sensitivity of pickup.
