FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: eddy-current axial offset transducer comprises a hollow metal case housing a connection cable, a sensor element represented by a solenoid coil, a metal flanged bushing, a seal pressurizing the sensor element, the main pressurizing seal being dielectric glass made from polymeric material and housing a sensor element with a metal bushing, the dielectric glass shell being canted for the flange of he bushing mounted to the transducer housing with a coupling bolt. The glass has a cylindrical stub overlooking the inner part of the bushing. The solenoid coil of the sensor element is drawn on the stub and glued to it, while an increase in the clearance between the sensor element and the unit under test for the dielectric glass thickness is compensated by the design ratio of the coil loop diameter D and its length 1 as 14.5/3 to provide for the linearity of the output characteristics.
EFFECT: increased of service life in severe operating conditions and extended linear range of the output characteristics.
