FIELD: microwave engineering. SUBSTANCE: slow-wave structure for EHF travelling-wave tube has metal rod and tube. Metal rod has hole and pairs of slots cut perpendicular to its axis; plates separating the slots have drillings and drift tubes. Metal rod is inserted in tube with the result that a number of cavities of cross-shaped section are formed. Cavities are interconnected through slits provided in their isolating plates.
