FIELD: UHF equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to UHF equipment, namely to slow-wave structures (hereinafter – SWS) of amplifying and generating UHF devices of O-type, in particular to slow-wave structures of travelling wave tubes (hereinafter – TWT) and backward-wave tubes (hereinafter – BWT). Increase in connection resistance of SWS is achieved due to that combs of the slow-wave structure have slots, contours of which are ellipse arcs. An electrical field in a flow section for such a slow-wave structure decreases slowly as moving away from a surface of the slot, which leads to an increase in connection resistance and, consequently, to an increase in the performance of UHF devices of O-type.
EFFECT: increase in the performance of UHF devices of O-type by increasing values of connection resistance in a working frequency band, while saving other electrodynamic characteristics of a slow-wave structure.
