FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic equipment, namely to O-type vacuum devices, and can be used in low-voltage travelling-wave tubes (hereinafter – TWT) of continuous and/or pulsed action of millimetre wavelength range. Multibeam TWT comprises a multibeam electron gun with cathode emitters, microwave energy input/output, an electron collector, a magnetic focusing system, slowing down system of the looping waveguide type, which is bent so that its wide sides repeatedly intersect the longitudinal axis, thus forming the SWS, and have flat sections with holes forming transit channels for passage of electron flows into the SWS. Anode unit TWT contains at least two retarding systems with a common output of microwave energy, each being isolated by the microwave signal, wherein the electrical length of the retarding systems is the same, and the length of the electromagnetic wave of the main type in the waveguide λb is determined based on condition 1.05a<λw <1.6a and b<a/2, where a, b are the width and height of the cross section of the rectangular waveguide, the retarding systems are located parallel to each other in the transverse direction TWT, wherein in longitudinal direction each subsequent retarding system is shifted by at least one period P, on flat sections of wide sides of waveguides there are (N+1) holes for transit channels, where N is the number of partial electron flows in the TWT, each decelerating system has a separate input/output of microwave energy, made in the form of a metal waveguide, with a cross section equal to the looping waveguide forming the slow-wave structure.
EFFECT: increase of average and pulse output power of TWT, increase/increase of amplification factor and efficiency in a wide band of operating frequencies at low accelerating voltage, heat resistance of internal elements of the slow-wave structure.
