FIELD: design of elements for electrolyzers with ion-exchange membranes meant for electrolysis of brine to win chlorine, hydrogen and caustic soda. SUBSTANCE: electrolyzer has assemblage of electrolytic cells limited by pair of elements and peripheral gaskets and ion-exchange membrane in each element. Each element includes pair of sheets with peripheral flange and collection of protrusions and vertical recesses. Protrusions of one sheet are electrically connected to protrusions of another sheet by conducting element. Deflector is provided in upper part of sheet. Distributor to feed electrolyte solution is located in lower part of sheet. Melted sheet or grid with electrocatalytic coat are linked to flat surface of protrusions of each sheet.
