FIELD: designs of electrolyzers and of their units.
SUBSTANCE: bipolar assembly includes single sheet whose two sides operate respectively as anode and cathode walls. Border arranged along perimeter includes first border formed by bending portions of sheet arranged along its perimeter and second border formed by means of rod or rectangular cross tube. In variant first and second borders are preliminarily formed by bending respective strips to be secured to said single sheet. Electrolyzer made after mounting large number of assemblies according to invention is especially suitable for using during electrolysis of solutions of hydrochloric acid realized with use of anodes separating chlorine and cathodes absorbing oxygen.
EFFECT: simplified structure, improved reliability of assembly.
